Nurturing Miracles One Child at a Time...
Philosophy

At the Little Miracles Childcare Center, we believe that although learning is a complex unending process, children do most of their important learning before the age of six. Our goal is to support children in their active exploration and to help them become self-confident, independent and inquisitive learners. We provide an environment rich in materials to explore, manipulate and talk about. Children are guided to question, experiment, think, and to reason.

Everything we do at the Little Miracles Childcare Center involves early childhood development. We provide opportunities for a variety of experiences for cognitive, social, emotional and physical development. Developmentally appropriate books, puppets, crafts, toys, and equipment are furnished for the children.   We believe that matching children with activities that complement their developmental needs and abilities causes learning to occur easily and naturally.

We believe that children learn best through play. Our curriculum is a balance between play based and academic excellence based activities. We offer many opportunities for play and creativity through our Learning Centers. The Learning Centers consist of areas such as building blocks, sand and water tables, dramatic play, music and movement, library, and housekeeping centers.   The children learn through hands-on experiences by investigating, exploring, communicating ideas and feelings, and solving questions. Academic excellence studies are also taught and reinforced through playful activities like rhymes, arts and crafts, music and educational computer software. We encourage not just learning, but a love of learning.

The children's play is designed to inspire and help fashion well-rounded individuals.   We encourage child-initiated activities and give the children choices. The children receive one-on-one attention from caregivers and are spoken to with positive rewarding language. We promote self-esteem, trust, pride and positive relationships.

We provide a nurturing environment where caregivers are supportive, encouraging, loving, caring, and sensitive to the needs of the children in our care. We believe that children need lots of love and attention. We strive to help each child develop and progress to their fullest potential. We work to provide a positive, enjoyable and rewarding experience for both children and their parents.
